Foggy Bay Collies was founded over 25 years ago beside the shores of San Francisco Bay. I was six and she was three months but it was definitely love. It was then, in my childhood, that I began dreaming of breeding my very own collies. My dream is now a reality, starting with my first champion, Licky, and continuing with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Our line is genetically healthy. Our Stud has been certified by the “OFA” (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) regarding “hip dysplasia”. Our pups are all examined by a veterinary ophthalmologist, to obtain their “CERF” (Canine Eye Registration Foundation). ne Eye Registration Foundation). Our pups are all sold with “State of NY Certificate of Veterinary Inspection” as well as “Health guarentee” and “contract” so that we can all be assured that the future of each pup that we sell, will be bright.
We put careful planning into each litter that we breed. We breed for type, structure, soundness, health and temperament. Our collies are raised as part of our family, they live with us in the house and are taken to club meetings, parades, nursing homes, schools, and friends and relatives homes. We take all of the pups we keep through a puppy class by 6 months old and they get well socialized and basic training. We do obedience, herding, carting, tracking, back packing and conformation with our collies.
We are a small breeding and showing operation located in Southern California, with over 20 years experience in various breeds with Collies being our favorite. Being a small kennel we can give each dog individual attention and proper socialization so they can develop the true Collie character which we insist on. We are nestled in the center of twenty acres with gigantic over two hundred year old Oaks and surrounded by statuesque Pines that look like sentinals to keep us safe. To this place we came, and here I have grown to having my breeding program at long last complete.
